Bestowal dialogue

'I see signs of Núrzum! He was here... I know it. Do you see the great spires of ice to the north and south?

'Perhaps this mysterious artifact we seek can be found at one of those icy protrusions on the horizon.

'Will you scout them while I ride to Dunfast? I worry for the people of that town.'

Background

Strange spires pierce the flat lands to the north and south of the road, landmarks that Cyneberg declares are entirely new to the plains of the Whitshaws.

Objective 1

  • Search the strange spire to the north

The strange spires on the landscape can be found north, south, and south-west of the crossroads in the south-eastern Whitshaws.

You should scout the northern ice-spire at the lake's edge in the Whitshaws.

This place is clutched in the grips of a particularly violent lingering winter

Objective 2

  • Search the strange spire to the south

The strange spires on the landscape can be found north, south, and south-west of the crossroads in the south-eastern Whitshaws.

You should scout the southern-most spire of ice in the Whitshaws.

A dead horse lies at this spire; you should examine it

Objective 3

* Search the strange spire to the south-west of the crossroads The strange spires on the landscape can be found north, south, and south-west of the crossroads in the south-eastern Whitshaws.

You should scout the south-western spire of ice in the Whitshaws.

The winter weather here is especially cruel, and ice-shards pierce the earth like shining knives

Objective 4

Cyneberg has ridden ahead to Dunfast, which lies westward along the Whitshaws road from Forlaw.

You should meet up with Cyneberg at Dunfast.

Cyneberg: 'Did you find anything noteworthy? Tell me everything -- but I have news for you as well.
'Dunfast is empty!'
