Description
Scatha the Worm was a mighty Long-worm of the Grey Mountains, and one of the Dragons who plundered the hoards of the Longbeard Dwarves. In T.A. 2000 he attacked the Ai-thúda settlement of Fasthálla, permanently injuring their chieftain Frumgar with his venom. In revenge and fearing a second attack, Frumgar's son Fram hunted the Worm to his lair in Elderslade and slew him with the aid of Karazgar.
At the end of the War of the Ring, his lair and the remainder of his hoard still lies hidden in Wyrmsgráf, lost to all but one.
