Bestowal dialogue

'The enemy has repaired the great ram Grond, <name>. Great beasts pull it across the Pelennor, creeping ever closer to the city. It must not reach the gate!'

To participate in the defence, open the Epic Battles Panel and select 'Hammer of the Underworld' from the menu. After you successfully complete the defence, you will be returned to the location from which you entered it.

Background

Mithrandir rallies the defenders of Minas Tirith as the great ram Grond creeps ever close to the gates of the city.

Objective 1

The first attack on the walls has been repelled, but now the enemy seeks to breach the gates to the city.

To participate in the defence, open the Epic Battles Panel and select 'Hammer of the Underworld' from the menu. After you successfully complete the defence, you will be returned to the location from which you entered it.

Objective 2

Mithrandir is in the besieged city, at the south-eastern area of the Second Circle.

Minas Tirith is besieged! You may examine the model of the city in the Dome of the Stars to travel between states of the city.

Mithrandir: 'A terrible crash! Grond has served its purpose, <name>. The spells woven about its length have proven too much for the gates of the city! The darkest hour is at hand.'
