Description

Kheled-zâram, Mirrormere in Westron, is a lake that sits outside the East-gate of Moria. [67.3N, 134.6W] It was here that Durin the Deathless looked into the water and saw himself crowned with stars, which he took as an omen to found his realm of Khazad-dûm. Durinul'aban, Durin's Stone, stands along the shores in commemoration of this. The lake is fed by the falls of Anlakh-zeleg, the Dimrill Stair, and flows out in the river of Kibil-nâla, known also as the Silverlode or Celebrant.
