Effects
Using this skill applies the Gripped by Cold effect to the targeted enemy. It will also consume a Flanked! effect to heal yourself for a small amount.
When specialized in Keeper of Animals, using this skill tiers up the Wild Sigil of Frost effect on your pet.
Skill Interactions
When specialized in Keeper of Animals, using this skill reduces the active cooldown of Sign of the Wild: Rage by 2 seconds.
Using the skill Retribution replaces this skill for 4 seconds with an empowered version. This skill affects multiple targets, reduces your threat, and if specialized in the Keeper of Animals trait tree, applies the max tier of Wild Sigil of Frost on your pet:

Tactical Information
Wizard's Frost is a damaging skill that can be used while on the move. It is most commonly used by Blue-line Lore-masters to maintain their pet buffs and to reduce the cooldown of Sign of the Wild: Rage. It can also be used to heal the Lore-master in an emergency.
