Power Increase on Level-up
Hi Fanchen, I noticed you recently removed a paragraph from the Character Stats page, about characters gaining Power when they level up, stating that the claim was wrong. Based on my own knowledge and experience of the game, I believed this to be correct however (since they reworked the primary stats a few years back, when Will used to give an addition to Power). So I did some checking in-game and with several different characters of various levels, classes and races I have verified that - indeed - the paragraph is accurate. :)
So I just wanted to let you know that I have reverted your edit. Sorry for this.
Kind regards,
--Stargazer (talk) 23:17, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Stargazer,
- I'm sure the power increases by some amount by leveling up, but certainly not by 50 points per level for non-Will-based classes. My lvl 130 Burglar has 6000 Power, which is too little according to that calculation. Maybe that only works up to level 120 or something? --Fanchen (talk) 23:28, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
- I don't have a level-cap character, so I have no idea if there is some sort of special case (e.g. stat cap?) that applies to them. And sadly Bullroarer just closed, so I can't do a thorough, focused test of this there either.
- Some stats do follow a 'sectioned', or otherwise logarithmic, curve, but I would be surprised if that was the case with Power increase though. However, with the characters I currently have, I've been able to verify its accuracy at least up through level 107 - as it has been spot on in every case.
- Why your Burglar has 6000 Power I cannot say (it should have 6500+ at lvl 130, all things being equal). So maybe it does stop increasing at lvl 120, or maybe there's some sort of 'debuff' or similar at work; from the environment (like the Morale decrease from Dread) or from some sort of equipment or something? :O
- I would port to a very safe, neutral location/environment and then try to remove all equipment, Virtues, Traits and so on, to figure out what's going on. That's all I can think of for now.
Great Change
Many thanks for your update to In-game Currency, brilliant!!! — Zimoon 08:13, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
Icon naming
Sounds interesting but would want to see it in action
Hi Sucamarto, I've seen you started uploading some of the icons for the new items. I'm not sure if you are present on Discord or if you've seen my proposal to change icon naming on Category_talk:Item_Icons. I believe that would remove a lot of manual effort with negligible drawbacks, but I'd be happy to hear your opinion on it.--Fanchen (talk) 01:10, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
