Description

The Subuzûri are a company of warriors organized under the command of Mizâdi, Shâra of Renewed Hamât. The name is derived from the word "subu," meaning endure in Shagâni. The group is based in Urmâkh, where they act as defenders of the city and as Mizâdi's primary military force.

The Subuzûri are equipped with spears, curved swords, and shields bearing the symbol of Hamât. Recruitment is not limited to one tribe or clan; members are drawn from different groups across the Valley of Ikorbân, many of whom joined during or after the initial campaigns against the Ekhamâti.

Organization and Role

The Subuzûri are smaller in size compared to the Ekhamâti but are organized as a cohesive unit. Leadership positions are typically granted to experienced fighters or individuals who have proven effective in battle, rather than through inheritance or tribal status.

Their responsibilities include guarding Urmâkh, holding strategic positions in Tir Khûl, and conducting raids and counterattacks against Ekhamâti encampments, including Nisigurûm, Garash Kâru, and Dun Shûma. Their familiarity with the terrain of Imhûlar allows them to carry out effective defensive and offensive operations against larger enemy forces.

Facing the Ekhamâti

The Subuzûri played a central role in resisting the Ekhamâti advance. They were responsible for securing Urmâkh against siege attempts and for disrupting the supply lines and positions of Bârshud II's lieutenants.

The company is consistently present in major engagements of the conflict, serving both as Mizâdi's personal guard and as the core of her fighting force. Their actions established them as the primary organized resistance against Ekhamâti control in Shagâna.
