Description

Shedax Khîn (Umbari for The Grinding Jaws) is a point of interest found east of Bakhjâd in the Shield Isles. ^{[1.7S, 127.9W]}

Though not a formal area or landmark this lagoon, known as The Grinding Jaws or Shadax Khîn, is notable for the dangerous waters that have seen many shipwrecks over the years. Storms in the Bay of Belfalas will drive ships into the shallows and break them upon the rocks. Many of these become part of Bax Garâkh, and their unfortunate crews join the Dead. The luckier ones escape to places like Voyage's End or the nearby towns of Mâr Naphra or Halrax.

The corsair settlement of Injakhûr is spread over the islands on the north side of the lagoon where they loot what they can from the shipwrecks.
