Walkthrough & Notes

You must defeat the Harbinger of the Dead on level, up to 5 above (too much deflect at 8 above) or 8 below to count towards the quest, as long as the quest is marked as green. Retreating while engaged with the Harbinger of the Dead may result in it not counting towards the quest. Kiting the Harbinger of the Dead too far away from its spawn location may not progress the quest or deed. Each Skirmish can be started at any size (even solo). Completing the Tier 3 quest, will also advance the deed Skirmish Assault: Ill Omens (Tier 3). Because the Day Four wrapper quest: Skirmish Assault: Shadows of Dol Guldur cannot be completed due to the level cap of 60 for Angmar and Mordor they will rotate between three Ill Omens Skirmish Event daily quest options: Skirmish Assault: Strongholds of the Free Peoples Skirmish Assault: Treacherous Wilds Skirmish Assault: Beneath the World

Bestowal dialogue You have encountered a creature of ill omen unlike any of the lieutenants of the Enemy you have previously faced. What does its presence portend for the peoples of Middle-earth? Background It is a time of ill omen. Harbingers of the Dead have crept forth from the shadows to threaten the peoples of Middle-earth, but what evil has drawn them forth? NOTE: This quest will be removed from your quest log when the event it is associated with ends. Objective 1 Complete Skirmish Assaults around Middle-earth (0/10) Harbingers of the Dead have appeared in Skirmishes throughout Middle-earth. You should seek out and defeat Harbingers of the Dead. NOTE: This quest can be advanced by completing 'Skirmish Assault: Stronghold of the Free Peoples', 'Skirmish Assault: Treacherous Wilds', 'Skirmish Assault: Beneath the World' or 'Skirmish Assault: Shadows of Dol Guldur'. Completed Skirmish Assaults across Middle-earth (10/10) Objective 2 Talk to Nedda Pinleaf in Bree, Ost Galadh, or the Twenty-first Hall Nedda Pinleaf can be found the Skirmish Camps of Bree, Ost Galadh, and the Twenty-first Hall.
