Walkthrough & Notes

There are two timers for this mission: An 8-minute timer for Objective 1. A 90-second (1 minute 30 seconds) timer for Objective 3. If either timer expires, the quest and the mission fails. In this case it can, however, be immediately accepted again, although no previous progress will be retained. There is an instance portal next to the entrance, and one approaches too closely, the character will be "ejected" to Khaphâr [24.4S, 114.7W], and the portal there will not allow re-entry. To re-enter the mission instance and continue progress, it will be necessary to return to Deshra in the Bloody Eagle Tavern. Note that any timer in effect while the character is ejected will not be paused while getting back to Deshra. If the mission fails due to timer expiration, then, even if the character has been ejected from the instance, they will be teleported back to The Bloody Eagle Tavern. Hunter Desperate Flight is a quick way to get back to the entrance. Exiting and re-entering the mission is also a quick way to get to the scout, ahead of the timer. WARNING if one has previously attained a new character level while in the mission, then, due to versioning, re-entering will generate a new mission instance, and all progress will be reset. Although technically no combat is required for this mission, there are not-initially-hostile (yellow-bar) Ghax-hophra Workers (gredbyg) wandering the tunnels, and if accidentally attacked, will become hostile. Bestowal Dialogue '<name>, please, rescue the trapped miners! And if you can, whatever treasure they were excavating. Quickly, there's not a moment to lose!' Background Temámir Dwarves have been excavating a cave on the Cape looking for precious stones, but the walls proved too weak. Help the dwarves escape the cave-in! Objective 1 Destroy rubble blocking the path (0/12) Rescue trapped miners (0/8) Rescue workers and excavate rubble before the mine collapses! Help the miners escape before the cave collapses further! Trapped Miner says, "Do not linger here. There is something in this cave." Trapped Miner says, "Thank you, stranger. The cave shook and the walls crumbled." Trapped Miner says, "I thought this would be my tomb, thank you." Trapped Miner says, "You saved me. I will return to Rakhatâb." Objective 2 The cave appears stable. Collect the great jewel from the deepest cave area The mine seems stable. Find and remove the glistening jewel in the deepest part of Jid Phêsi. Objective 3 Escape to the entrance before the mine collapses! The cave is shaking violently! Make your way out of the mine! An Umbari Scout has arrived to escort you back to the Bloody Eagle Tavern You make it to the entrance just in time! Umbari Scout: 'Quickly! We must get out of here before everything collapses!'
