Background
Prince Durin has asked you to accompany Mótsog to the peak above Gundabad, where the last of the Greymauls will confront Hrímil Frost-heart.
Objective 1
You have been tasked with escorting Mótsog to the peak above Gundabad, where the last of the Greymauls will confront Hrímil Frost-heart.
- Mótsog: 'Durin's forces have opened an aisle for us. We must pass through it, and climb the mountain!
- 'Let none stand in our way.'
Objective 2
- Escort Mótsog through the aisle the Gabil'akkâ has made
You have been tasked with escorting Mótsog to the peak above Gundabad, where the last of the Greymauls will confront Hrímil Frost-heart.
- Mótsog says, "This way, friend of Durin."
- Mótsog says, "We are through. Now we must climb!"
Objective 3
- Talk to Mótsog on the slope
You have been tasked with escorting Mótsog to the peak above Gundabad, where the last of the Greymauls will confront Hrímil Frost-heart.
- Mótsog: 'It is a long way to the summit, friend of Durin. We cannot stop now.'
Objective 4
- Climb the mountainside with Mótsog, last of the Greymauls
You have been tasked with escorting Mótsog to the peak above Gundabad, where the last of the Greymauls will confront Hrímil Frost-heart.
- Mótsog says, "We must reach the top before the setting of the sun."
- Mótsog says, "Forward! Keep climbing!"
Objective 5
- Talk to Mótsog beneath the peak
You have been tasked with escorting Mótsog to the peak above Gundabad, where the last of the Greymauls will confront Hrímil Frost-heart.
- Mótsog: 'We are nearly there.'
- Mótsog looks out over the yawning brink, unconcerned by the great height. The waning light of day occupies his every thought.
- 'I will face the dragon, but I will need you to stand against her minions. Can you do this?'
Objective 6
You have been tasked with escorting Mótsog to the peak above Gundabad, where the last of the Greymauls will confront Hrímil Frost-heart.
- Mótsog says, "Then come, friend of Durin."
- Mótsog says, "While there is still time left."
- Rúvaran says, "What are you doing here?"
- Ailgar says, "Did I not warn you, Rúvaran?"
- Mótsog says, "This is the Black Stone Anvil of my friend Durin!"
- Rúvaran says, "It belongs to me now, and will be the centerpiece of Angmar's ascension!"
- Rúvaran says, "When we have finished etching these runes upon its surface..."
- Rúvaran says, "...we will use it to bring down the mountain!"
- Ailgar says, "The enemies of Angmar will be swept away!"
- Mótsog says, "Stand aside. I have business with your master."
- Rúvaran says, "The dragon is not my master."
- Rúvaran says, "I serve Angmar, now and forever!"
Objective 7
Two leaders of the Angmarim have blocked your way up the slope to Hrímil Frost-heart, and they must be defeated if Mótsog is to reach the dragon.
- Mótsog says, "We must hurry! These cultists have delayed us too long!"
Objective 8
- Confront Hrímil Frost-heart
You have been tasked with escorting Mótsog to the peak above Gundabad, where the last of the Greymauls will confront Hrímil Frost-heart.
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "How is it you still live?"
- Mótsog says, "I fight for Durin, the true lord of Gundabad."
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "Gorgar! Put an end to this creature."
- Gorgar the Ruthless says, "This is some foul dwarf-magic. I want nothing to do with it."
- Gorgar the Ruthless says, "Slay him yourself!"
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "Gorgar! I command it!"
- Gorgar the Ruthless says, "I will not join my brother in death for you!"
- Gorgar the Ruthless says, "I refuse!"
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "You cannot refuse!"
- Gorgar the Ruthless says, "No... no..."
Objective 9
Gorgar has succumbed to the voice of the dragon. He must be defeated if Mótsog is to reach Hrímil Frost-heart.
- The sun slips behind the distant hills
Objective 10
As the sun sets behind distant hills, Mótsog's time on this world draws near its end.
The dragon still lives.
- Mótsog says, "Your minions are slain, Hrímil Frost-heart."
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "What is wrong with you?"
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "Ah... your strength departs."
- Mótsog says, "I have strength enough to slay you, worm."
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "Whatever sorcery keeps you alive has nearly fled."
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "I have only to wait."
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "See how weak you become!"
- Mótsog says, "Friend of Durin... follow me..."
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "What are you trying to do?"
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "Hiding will avail you nothing."
- Mótsog says, "Stand behind the anvil... friend of Durin..."
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "I can reach you from here!"
- Hrímil Frost-heart says, "What are you doing?"
- Mótsog says, "All I can!"
The dragon flees, wounded and in terror: Gundabad is yours!
