An Unexpected Summons
"As days pass with no sign of the cold-drake Vethúg Wintermind, King Thorin III Stonehelm has grown impatient and seeks to learn the truth of these matters. Unknown to the King under the Mountain, an unexpected return may prove a boon to Durin's Folk."
Background
As the North awaits the coming of Vethúg Wintermind, King Thorin III has received an urgent and unexpected summons from Ravenhill.
Objective 1
King Thorin III is at Ravenhill.
You have come to Ravenhill with King Thorin III and should now seek an audience with Dís.
- King Thorin III: 'We have arrived, <name>.
- 'For many long years, even by the reckoning of Durin's Folk, Dís has been the Keeper of Ravenhill. Had Fili and Kili not met with their tragic fates, I do not know if she would have come to tend the peoples of Roäc. Such questions are best left unanswered, I think. Dís would not summon me without cause, and so I am curious to learn what matter could be so pressing, and perhaps of use to my kinsfolk upon the eve of battle!
- 'Shall we enter Ravenhill, friend?'
Objective 2
King Thorin III is at Ravenhill.
Hoping to answer an urgent summons, King Thorin III has travelled to Ravenhill. You should follow him.
- King Thorin III says, "Come, <name>."
- King Thorin III says, "Let us learn for what purpose Dís has summoned us."
- King Thorin III says, "I have come, Dís."
- King Thorin III says, "'Why have you summoned me to Ravenhill?"
- Dís seems unusually wary of speaking in your presence, but gestures for you to approach...
Objective 3
Dís can be found in the chambers of Ravenhill.
You have come to Ravenhill seeking to answer an urgent summons. You should talk to Dís.
- Dís: 'I did not expect to see you, <name>. Am I to understand you have some business with the King under the Mountain this day?'
- You explain to Dís that Erebor will soon be under siege by the great cold-drake Vethúg Wintermind, and that you have served as something of an ambassador to King Thorin III.
- 'These tidings are known to me. You may remain, but do not interrupt. This is a matter between the King under the Mountain and the ravens of the North.'
- Dís says, "And now I shall answer your question, King under the Mountain."
- Dís says, "At long last, one of the line of Croär and Roäc has returned to Ravenhill."
- Dís says, "And now, you too have come."
- Dís reveals a wooden whistle and its shrill call echoes through Ravenhill
Objective 4

- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "He knew friendship with your people, and he had not forgotten the Kings of old."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "I have not forgotten them either."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "The last King of your name left Roäc in anger, and he dishonoured the friendship between our peoples."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "Though it may not be remembered thus among the folk of Durin, it is thus remembered to us."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "This is why I seek your audience."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "Shall you prove different, Thorin Stonehelm?"

- King Thorin III says, "I knew only that your people lent us great aid in times of both peace and strife."
- King Thorin III says, "Despite these unexpected tidings, you honour me with your summons. It seems I now seek your audience!"
- King Thorin III says, "An old foe of my people, a cold-drake, shall soon come to Erebor."
- King Thorin III says, "He was drawn hither by a Man of unusual longevity named Karazgar."
- King Thorin III says, "I fear my people may not endure them both, and so, I beg your aid."
- King Thorin III says, "The keen eyes of your people may reveal secrets of great import."
- King Thorin III says, "They may decide the fate of Durin's Folk."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "I would see the friendship between our peoples strengthened once more."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "If this you swear, I shall do as you bid."

- 'An interesting tale. It seems you have been an ally to many others before you came to serve the King under the Mountain. Curious....
- 'If next I summon you, you would be wise to answer my call.'
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "You have made a promise, King under the Mountain."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "I trust you speak true."
- Arcah looses a cry, and the ravens of Ravenhill fly forth!
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "I have sent my people to spy upon your foes in the North."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "When they return, you will know as they know."
- Arcah, Daughter of Croär says, "I have spoken."

We shall know the truths beyond our sight, and be the better prepared for it!
