Walkthrough & Notes

Available after some progress inQuest: An Unexpected Story. The quest asks you to travel to a few locations on the western side of Ered Mithrin and /look in certain places. The first location is just before the road up to Thikil-gundu, where a couple of Orcs are watching the road. There are two Black Arrows and two Gundubad Warriors, asnd a Grey Hawk as you approach the hot spot [33.8N, 52.4W] -- the rocky prominatory. The second location is a field littered with Ungoledain-weapons (and a couple of lath bears and Taurogram Wariors) [34.4N, 53.4W]. It is NOT the nearby field littered with Corpses. The Third location is a field just off the main road, littered with Gundubad and Ungoledain-weapons [33.7N, 54.9W]. It is NOT the field on the other side of the rocks, littered with Corpses. The fourth and final location is in the Rushgate on the tip of the span over the river [33.8N, 56.2W].

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'It appears the Ungoledain have already been spotted heading towards Rushgate. We can't be sure if this was a small group of them or if their ranks are in far greater numbers to the west. 'Track the Ungoledain, <name>. Do not engage them though, if you can avoid it. They are in retreat and we want to keep an eye on them to see what they plan next.' Background The defeated Ungoledain have retreated and are thought to be heading to Rushgate. Follow their tracks and look around to see where they are regrouping. Objective 1 Look to the west for any Ungoladan activity. Look towards the west for any Ungoladan activity. It is difficult to get a good view west from this location. This location provides a good vantage point to the west. There is no sign of the Ungoledain here. Continue to head west towards Rushgate Objective 2 Look to the west for any Ungoladan activity. Continue to head west and scout for Ungoladan activity. This location provides a good vantage point to the west There is no sign of the Ungoledain here. Continue to head west towards Rushgate Objective 3 Look to the west for any Ungoladan activity. This location provides a good vantage point to the west It is clear the Ungoledain were here and must have crossed the bridge. Objective 5 'Talk to Radagast Radagast can be found in the north of the Thornholt woods. Return to Radagast and let him know what you've seen here in Rushgate. Radagast: 'It seems the Ungoledain are moving out of Ered Mithrin. While I'm sure this isn't the last we've heard of them, I think it's safe to rest easy for now.'
