Description
Ivy Redsmith was a hobbit who lived in the Shire over 250 years ago, during the time of the Long Winter, a terrible and devastating cold winter that devastated the homeland of the Hobbits. What happened to Ivy Redsmith and her family is unknown, but it is quite possible they suffered the same starvation and loss that many hobbit families did during the Days of Dearth that followed afterwards. Ivy's account of the winter however, can be found within her correspondence with one Halson Cleary, which has survived to this day...
