Description

Folca the Hunter was the 13^th King of Rohan.

Born in T.A. 2804 during the reign of his grandfather Brytta Léofa, Folca grew up in a contentious period when orcs from the Misty Mountains continued to plague the Kingdom of Rohan and terrorize it's subjects. During his time as prince, Folca would become known as a skilled hunter, hence his famed sobriquet. When his father King Walda and his party was slain in T.A. 2851 by orcs on the mountain passes near Dunharrow, Folca ascended to the kingship, vowing to never hunt wild beasts again until every last orc was driven out of the Riddermark.

Following a presumably grueling thirteen year campaign which saw the orcs driven fully out of Rohan, the victorious King Folca vowed to hunt and slay the great Boar of Everholt, and ventured to the Eastfold's Firien Wood to do so. Having tracked down the vicious beast, King Folca succeeded in killing the boar, though died of mortal tusk wounds from the encounter. Folca died at the age sixty, and was succeeded by his son Folcwine as King of Rohan.

Folca, King of Rohan, appears in the Eastfold during the session play instance: The Legend of Folca. Taking place in T.A. 2864, the player takes the role of King Folca in his legendary battle against the fearsome Boar of Everholt.
