Description

Boss from the Vaults: Naruhel the Red-maid, also known simply as Naruhel, is a scalable Seasonal Instance accessible during the Spring Festival.

This instance was inspired by the boss of the same name in the Agamaur instance Garth Agarwen: Fortress.

There are three tiers of difficulty and each tier has a chest that can be opened once per day.
Tier 1 - Naruhel's Silver Chest
Tier 2 - Naruhel's Golden Chest
Tier 3 - Naruhel's Mithril Chest

Each chest contains 5 Festivity Tokens and a chance for a rare drop.

The instance takes place in the Spring of the Red Maid area of The Lone-lands and is accessible through the Instance Finder.

Instance Overview

The instance consists of Naruhel and 6 Créoth Disciples, 3 on each side. At 80%, 60% and 50% morale two Disciples will start walking towards the altar to sacrifice themselves (one from each side). On higher tiers bloodwaters will spawn when a disciple dies.

Walkthrough

Core Mechanics

  • Punt – Naruhel periodically punts a random player.
  • Water Cyclone – A long induction that is normally interrupted.
  • Purple Eye – Marks a player, causing them to drop three puddles.
To conserve space, drop all three puddles in the same spot before stepping out (Healer awareness required).

Disciples and Sacrifice

If a Créoth Disciple reaches the altar and sacrifices themselves:

  • Naruhel is fully healed
  • She gains damage reduction
  • Her damage increases
  • She unlocks additional abilities
  • She performs a full threat wipe

This must be avoided at all costs. When Disciples activate, Naruhel briefly turns green. DPS should immediately swap to the Disciple, and the tank must retaunt Naruhel afterward.

Bloodwaters

Bloodwaters are the primary danger in this encounter.

  • Tier 1: No bloodwaters spawn.
  • Tier 2: One bloodwater spawns when the first Disciple of the wave dies.
  • Tier 3: One bloodwater spawns for each Disciple.

When a bloodwater activates, Naruhel immediately begins the induction "These waters are mine" to consume it:

  • She heals slightly
  • The bloodwater is removed before it can roam
  • No puddles are dropped
  • No heavy melee hits occur

Because bloodwaters are the most dangerous part of the fight, not interrupting this induction makes the encounter significantly easier.

Tier 2 Strategy

  • Only one bloodwater appears per wave.
  • Allow Naruhel to consume it to avoid dealing with the mechanic entirely.

Tier 3 Strategy

Each wave has two Disciples, normally producing two bloodwaters. Naruhel only consumes the first one that activates.

To control the fight:

  1. Kill the west-side Disciple first
  2. Quickly kill the east-side Disciple
  3. Fourth wave:
    • Two more bloodwaters spawn (one of each type).
    • Again, she consumes the first one if you don’t interrupt.
    • Kill the remaining one.

Once the bloodwaters are handled, the remainder of the fight is trivial.

Loot for this instance comes from daily quests awarding 2 Spring Leaves and the chest at the end that awards 5 Festivity Tokens and has a 50% chance on tier 1 and 2 (100% chance on tier 3) to award one of the following:
