Walkthrough & Notes

This quest is available to players who have purchased the Riders of Rohan legendary expansion. You play as a level 75 War-steed which has special skills. This is a timed quest. You have 30 minutes to complete this session, which is plenty of time. You are ported to the main road through Nain Enidh. [32.4S, 35.2W] Find and talk to Radagast's Horse in Ost Guruth. [31.2S, 29.3W] Radagast's Horse wants some herbs. There are plenty of them along the paths up to the summit of Weathertop. Each herb you pick will spawn one Sharp-eye Ambusher. You can continue picking herbs until you defeat three of the ambushing crebain. Tip: Do not back-kick the crebain down the cliff-sides as they may survive but do not have the strength to fly up again. Head back to Radagast's Horse in Ost Guruth to complete the quest. When the session ends, (successfully or not) you are returned to the Hengstacer Farm, next to the Combe horse. If defeated or time expires, you will return to the Horsefields. Bestowal dialogue Background The steeds of the Horsefields mentioned a mysterious horse with a wizard that has a particular affinity for animals, both residing in the Lone-lands. Objective 1 Head to Ost Guruth and find a horse there There is a horse in Ost Guruth that you feel compelled to seek out. If defeated or time expires, you will return to the Horsefields. Radagast's Horse: 'Lately I have been desiring a rare herb that I haven't tasted in ages. I used to only find it in very high places, but not where it's too cold. I believe it might be found on the highest summit in these lands, at the top of Weathertop. Could you head there and kindly gather a few herbs for me if you happen to find them? 'My master and I used to travel quite often, and I grew a fondness for this herb. it has been ages since he has taken me very far beyond this ruin. Maybe some day soon we will roam Middle-earth again as we used to.' You found Radagast's horse in Ost Guruth! Objective 2 Defeat ambushing crebain (0/3) The rare herb sought by Radagast's horse only grows in places of high elevation. The only place high enough for miles around Ost Guruth is the summit of Weathertop. If defeated or time expires, you will return to the Horsefields. Ambushing crebain defeated (3/3). Objective 3 Take the herbs back to Radagast's horse Radagast's horse is found in Ost Guruth. If defeated or time expires, you will return to the horsefields. Radagast's Horse: 'Thank you for appeasing my appetite of herbs that I have sorely missed! My master has been busy with the important events unfolding here, but he will be happy to be reminded of our travels together when he sees these herbs. These are exactly what I was looking for; I cannot thank you enough. 'You may or may not know this already, but there seems to be something special about you. My master and I have travelled to a lot of places in Middle-earth over the ages, and I have met many horses in my travels. Rarely have I encountered a steed of your spirit, or such an air of authority as yours....' Session complete.
