This was the home of Bránit, a Zhélruka dwarf, husband of Zéma and father of Khîl Tale-spinner, though it has been years since Khîl last came here, well before his father's death. The two did not part on friendly terms.

The Hidden Chamber

Transliteration of the runes on the secret door

While cleaning his father's house, Khîl discovered a secret door hidden behind a massive desk!

With your help, he revealed the runes upon the door and translated them to read: "Speak the name of he who carved me."

When he spoke the name of his great-great-great-grandfather Vóin, the door opened to reveal this mysterious hidden chamber, with a sinister secret at its center and strange text upon its walls.

Spoiler Alert (The Black Book of Mordor)

The hidden chamber in Khîl's home was wrought by his thrice-great grandfather Vóin and has since been passed down through the family to Khîl. Vóin spent years constructing the chamber, and in it he placed the chronicle of his adventures. His wife Bozhéna sealed the room with the book inside at the end of her own life, and its very existence was forgotten by the time Khîl returned to the home.
