Item articles
I noticed you are using the wrong item template. The correct item template is {{Item Tooltip}} or just go to Create new item and type in the name of the item you want to add. Rogue 19:13, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
- Can you be more specific? Which items? It's not always clear to me what the "correct" way to add something is. It's not like the help pages or contributor's corner really steers me into the correct usage, so I just copy something out there that is already working and edit it for my new items. It seems to me that a few of you guys are re-engineering the way edits are made and people like me are completely out of the loop. I don't even know how I'm supposed to know what the "correct item template" is. Zagyg 19:15, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- Recent changes are always helpful to see new items being added. Plus I am almost finished with an updated and useful Help page that will direct new users to the right places. I know it's frustrating and that we seem mean when we say no that's not correct. How do you know what to use? I told you with the links I provided here what to do. Before that, well understandable but that will change with the new Help page. Rogue 19:29, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe part of the problem is that I am not a new user. I'm just doing things the way that gets a page written. If I copy an old page to use to build a new page, I don't honestly think about whether the page I'm using is in the new format or not. I'm just trying to get the information into the wiki. I'm not trying hard to follow the new guidelines. It is just not easily available. I hope the new help pages remedy that. Zagyg 14:11, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Skûmfil
Hey Zagyg, just wanted to say thanks for adding those Skûmfil quests. I was wanting to do that myself, but I've been too lazy so far. I agree that it's not so important what it looks like, as long as the info is there. Usually I include the level of the quest as well (as in Sixteenth Hall), so I've changed that. I hope that's OK. --Ravanel 15:55, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sure, it's fine with me. I just happened to finally go into Skûmfil this weekend and figured I'd add to it. I don't usually do any quest wiki-ing, because I try to avoid walkthroughs in the game. But, if I've already done the quest, I may as well help out a little.

Ninja
I was made a lotro wiki "ninja" today. How very curious. Thank you very much, Rogue4ever! I shall endeavor to learn about what this new status means, so I can continue to be a good steward of the lotro wiki. I update the info out of sheer enjoyment of having a good resource for information. I know that most of the main contributors have that same attitude. I think, at the least, being a ninja now means I will work harder to keep things updated. There's always a lot of work to do out there.
