Bree-town
Very nice work on Bree =D I'll be adding pages for all those NPCs within the next day or two. --Fedaykin 07:27, 28 April 2008 (PDT)
- Thanks! It took forever. I didn't realise Bree was so populated. At least now I know my way around town (although I didn't find Cat Lady, only her house). Good luck adding the NPCs. I hope to eventually update the NPC Type pages. I thought Bree should have a more NPC Types than other places. What do you think about the format of the page? It's not very descriptive. I hope someone more right-brained than I can add some flowery prose. --Glynnis 16:18, 28 April 2008 (PDT)
- You may notice the new NPC pages - I'll be (finally) done with Bree-town tonight! If you'd like to help out some more, we could use more of the lists of NPC information that you made for Bree in Ered Luin (Category:Ered Luin NPCs), as well as Thorin's Gate and Thorin's Hall (may want to separate Ered Luin NPCs into the actual town/city articles where applicable). I've already finished pretty much all the NPC articles there. Thanks for all your contributions, and keep up the good work! :) --Fedaykin 20:34, 12 May 2008 (PDT)
- Bree looks much nicer with blue NPC links instead of red. My plan is to update Gondamon similar to Bree. Then I hope to get to Noglond, Thorin's Gate and Thorin's Hall to finish off the villages in Ered Luin. It might take me a while but at least they should be easier to create than Bree was. --Glynnis 21:05, 12 May 2008 (PDT)

Crafting
Here's a little project I am working on. I wouldn't worry about the current crafting page mainly because it only uses other pages and doesn't give you much information about crafting.. you are more than welcome to start a discussion about this page if you have any ideas or see any changes that need to be made. I would like to impliment/replace the current crafting page soon. http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/User:Rogue4ever/craftinghome Rogue 12:20, 30 April 2008 (PDT)
- Thanks for the notice. I'll take a look at your new version and comment over there. --Glynnis 20:07, 12 May 2008 (PDT)
Stable-masters
You're welcome =) I just happened to be adding the NPCs in Combe and came across the Stable-master so I noticed that. If you look at the recent changes you'll find that a lot of the information is "outdated" or at least hasn't been updated in quite a while. If you consider the miles of endless random little "fixes" and changes in each new book, you'll see much which hasn't been gone through in detail and changed on the Wiki (mostly because we just don't have the amount of contributors and our current ones are often busy with other stuff). For this inconsistency I think you're right, and that Jack once had a route to South and West Bree, but they decided to remove West because it didn't make sense due to Combe being to the east. By the way, nice work on getting some other towns done, keep it up! --Fedaykin 20:40, 16 May 2008 (PDT)
Promotion
You've been promoted to ninja (editor) status, so you can do more on the wiki (albeit not that much more), which I think includes page protection and something else. Keep up the good work :) --Fedaykin 18:09, 2 June 2008 (PDT) Note: Ninja suit & gear not included.
- Wow, that's a nice surprise. Thanks! --Glynnis 18:16, 2 June 2008 (PDT)
- Congrats! Rogue 17:39, 3 June 2008 (PDT)
Crafting Resources
Right now we have Category:Crafting Resources, Category:Resources, and Category:Resource Deposit. I haven't condensed them down any but we can come up with a good way to separate them. I would prefer no more than 2 categories for this or 1 master category with 2 subcategories. Take a look at what's in them currently and where they are located in the tree. Give me some ideas on what you think.. I have a couple ideas but have been focusing on recipe indexes and articles atm. An example might be under the main category Crafting we could use Crafting Resources then subcategory Resource Spawns and Resource Materials. The spawns category would house deposits, branches, and scholar nodes while Materials would house the ore, wood, etc.. How does that sound? Rogue 17:39, 3 June 2008 (PDT)
- That sounds perfect to me. In addition, I want to add categories to the resource spawn item pages to categorize them by region. That shouldn't affect your plans at all. Thanks! --Glynnis 17:48, 3 June 2008 (PDT)
Creature Locations
If you like to update the tempate I have no problem with it --Speico 22:34, 4 June 2008 (PDT)
- OK. I'll put it on my to do list. --Glynnis 18:00, 5 June 2008 (PDT)
Re: Template Mod 2.0
Nice work, it looks like it was implemented well. That extra functionality seems like it was needed now that we've got a better distinction between areas, towns etc. By the way, great job on those Thorin's Hall Homesteads house pages! I was thinking that we should have something like this, and you pulled it off nicely. Would be awesome to see the same for the other housing areas :) --Fedaykin 18:55, 28 June 2008 (PDT)
- I'm glad you like the house pages. Finding the map locations for the houses was surprisingly time-consuming. I plan to add pages for the other homesteads, which should be easier now that I created the format. By the way, do you have admin access to a Kinship house? I need help filling in the question marks on house. --Glynnis 09:08, 29 June 2008 (PDT)
homesteads & houses
howdy,
you may have noticed that I changed the TH homestead and houses pages slightly, nothing major just width and link changes to make it look a bit better, I may mess around with tables a bit more in the future to fix the length of each column...
Xander 09:57, 29 June 2008 (PDT)
- OK, thanks for updating the format. I didn't notice a problem with the table widths but maybe I keep my browser wider than most people. The formatting in the Infobox looks much better. --Glynnis 10:07, 29 June 2008 (PDT)
Interiors
I was wondering whether "Interiors" was the correct word to be using, as houses have a yard with hooks which are very much part of them ... maybe "homes"? Either way, it's looking good :) DancesInTrees 00:42, 30 June 2008 (PDT)
- I believe it to be correct terminus technicus, as it can be see used on Lorebook. Xander 02:38, 30 June 2008 (PDT)
- Yes, I looked up the term from the Lorebook. That's also where I got the term "dungeon" (as discussed on the World forum). --Glynnis 18:42, 30 June 2008 (PDT)
Nice Template Work
I just wanted to say nice work with the templates. You've had some really good ideas and made some nice improvements :) Since you've been doing so much work with the templates, you're invited to add your name to the System Tools project page with your works in progress and plans for future additions.
As a side note, before significant changes are made to a widely used template, please post your thoughts and plans for the template in the System Tools Forum to consult the editors who frequently use that template, and to discuss the proposed changes to avoid any errors and to make sure the changes are agreed upon and implemented in the best way possible.
Some minor improvements or corrections may be necessary with the recent changes to the NPCbox template. Please see the "Recent Changes to Template:NPCbox" thread on the Forums.
Keep up the good work! --Deyvid 09:40, 5 July 2008 (PDT)
- I'm sorry for the confusion. I posted a reply on the forums. I also added myself to the System Tools project with my planned templates. I'm mostly done with the World templates for now. --Glynnis 18:02, 5 July 2008 (PDT)
Chat Meeting
Hello Glynnis,
this is a reminder that there is a Chat Meeting scheduled for next Saturday (August 16th) at the usual time. You can find out more in the Contributor's Corner, as well as the Announcement on the Forums. I'm hoping that this time we will see a larger attendance so that we can discuss some of the topics on everyone's mind and work out our plans for MoM. --Fedaykin 17:23, 8 August 2008 (PDT)
Still here?
Hey Glynnis, are you still around? I haven't seen you editing much lately. You made some changes and started a pretty big project with the regions, so we'd like to know if you plan to follow through with all of that or not. I've only for Forochel left to do for NPCs and then I will be done until Moria, and there are other things we would like to have completed by that time as well. Thanks, --Fedaykin 10:57, 2 September 2008 (PDT)
