Sûlok

Sûlokil (singular Sûlok) are massive, horned beasts native to the harsh lands of Mordor and Haradwaith. Thick-skinned and powerfully built, their appearance is formidable, marked by heavy bone growths and layered natural armor.
A Sûlok is distinguished by a mantle of shaggy fur across its shoulders and a vast bony plate covering the head and neck. From this plate rise three pairs of heavy horns, with an additional pair jutting from the cheeks, while two pairs of curved tusks protrude from the mouth. Bony spurs and ridges armor the shoulders and hindquarters, and smaller growths cluster along the jaw, giving the creature a brutal, almost sculpted silhouette. Fully grown sûlokil rank among the largest land beasts of the southern regions, capable of shattering obstacles or trampling smaller foes without slowing.
Despite their fearsome appearance, sûlokil are often surprisingly mild-tempered. Possessing immense strength and few natural predators, they show little fear of other creatures and will frequently ignore travelers unless provoked. When threatened or enraged, however, a sûlok becomes unstoppable, charging with devastating force and using horn, tusk, and sheer mass to annihilate anything in its path. Sûlokil are regarded as living engines of stone and muscle, embodying the raw, indifferent power of the southern wilds.
