Bestowal dialogue 'Ever tracked down an animal before? I've heard them Ranger folk are mighty good at it, but I don't know much. You ought to check the pen -- before it fled, the last thing that sheep did was eat at the trough. 'Take care, stranger. There're wolves outside Herne... and I've heard tell of worse things lurking beyond. Just thinking about it is enough to make my skin crawl.' Background One sheep seems to have fled Herne entirely. Objective 1 Look for tracks near the trough outside of Hulfryn's House The last thing the missing sheep did before fleeing was eat from the trough outside Hulfryn's house. You should check the area near it for tracks. There are faint hoof-prints in the grass Objective 2 Examine the sheep hoof-prints You have noticed faint hoof-prints near the trough outside Hulfryn's house. You should examine them. A clearly panicked sheep darted out of the pen and towards the north-west Objective 3 Follow the hoof-print trail The hoof-print trail leads north-west out of Herne. You should follow it. The trail abruptly stops at this pool of blood Objective 4 Examine the blood The hoof-print trail you'd been following ended abruptly at a pool of blood. You should examine the blood. A trail of blood splatters continues north Objective 5 Follow the blood splatters A trail of blood splatters continues north. You should follow it. The sheep appears freshly dead Objective 6 Examine the dead sheep Kill Bloodthirsty Barrow-wight You've unfortunately found Hulfryn's last sheep. You should examine its corpse. The smell of long-rotted meat assails your nose as a wight rushes towards you Wight defeated Objective 7 Talk to Hulfryn in Herne You have defeated the wight that killed Hulfryn's sheep. You should return to Herne and tell him. Hulfryn: 'What happened? Did you find the sheep?' As you recount your story, the blood drains from Hulfryn's face. 'Black Riders and dead things walking... omens of worse times ahead. Still, I haven't got the means to leave Herne and find someplace safer. This town is my whole world. I just hope those Riders don't come back.... <name>, was it? Stay safe out there.'
