Walkthrough & Notes
Talk with the Wandering Shade. Travel to the south of Bree. Find Shade's Tomb along the Haunted Alley, where the Lost Shade is roaming. During daytime: Put down the ring on the tomb to spawn the Lost Shade During nighttime: The Lost Shade will have a quest ring Talk to the Lost Shade to finish the quest. When this quest is completed you will receive a mail, see the Quest Chain box for details.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'Duty done, again, to rest at last I yearn. 'So too my brother, wandering by night. A spirit lost brings naught but fright. 'Provide this ring, show him it is done. 'Then we rest 'neath Moon and Sun.' Background The Wandering Shade in the Barrow-downs asked you to deliver the ring you collected to its brother's tomb in Bree. Objective 1 Deliver the ring to the shade in Bree-town The Wandering Shade's brother now wanders through the streets of Bree. If the sun is shining, the shade may be summoned by troubling its tomb; at night, search the alleys for the shade. A tomb rests somewhere in Bree, and a shade leaves its confines at night to haunt the streets. The Wandering Shade wishes for you to bring his ring to his brother. Wandering Shade: 'Our duty done, brother, hear the call of slumber. Know at last peace, rest, interred again eternal.' Lost Shade: 'Shining and gleaming, I hath seen this before on hand of my kin as death pulled him forth. 'In the stone alcove, where life ebbed away, we had hid treasure and summoned forth death. 'Now shall I rest, as my brother the same. At last at peace, at last to dream. 'Seek the black rock....'
