Walkthrough & Notes

As advertised, the Surprise Attack twist means that, at several points in the instance, a drake will appear spontaneously. The instance consists of a descent through the ruins, via rubble, stairs and ramps, where in some cases, the "ramp" consists of nothing more than a broken pillar. There is no need for any abrupt, significant changes of elevation (falls), or any swimming, and if this occurs, the character will likely be defeated by misadventure, or, at a minimum, it not be possible to advance in the instance without exiting/re-entering the instance, since the water part does not seem to have any safe exit. Exiting and re-entering the instance does not reset quest progress, and may be the best option to find missing tracks/eggs. If any mobs were skipped on the first pass-through, try to remember where they were, so they can be avoided again. Liberal use of a "select nearest/previous/next object" key/combo will help to avoid missing any quest objectives on the way down the path. After completing your objectives, there is a limited time (2 minutes) before you will be automatically ejected from the instance. You need to find and open the "Mission Reward" chest before this happens. Defeating more enemies does not reset the timer!

Your mission is to investigate the drake presence in High Sundergrot.  Twist: Surprise Attack Background You have been tasked with investigating the drake presence in High Sundergrót. Objective 1 Investigate drake tracks (0/10) Destroy drake eggs (0/12) Investigate drake tracks and destroy drake eggs along High Sundergrót. Objective 2 Destroy the drake matron's nest Destroy the drake matron's nest. THE DRAKE MATRON HAS NOTICED YOUR RAMPANT SMASHING; DEFEND YOURSELF! Objective 3 Talk to Ausma The mission is complete! Speak to Ausma for your reward! MISSION COMPLETE! A dwarf scout has arrived to escort you back to the halls of Máttugard. Dwarf Scout: Great work, <name>!
