Walkthrough & Notes

Solo Strategy Place at least three upgraded Barricades on the Western approach to slow/stop the extra attackers. Also set the commander to two handed stance i.e. Stop the attackers before they leave the ramp. Optionally, place a Ballista to fire on the ramp between the first two barricades to eliminate each wave of attackers. Additional enemies will begin spawning only on the near Western lane; concentrate your defenses here. An Engineer can take advantage of a combination of Barricades and a Ballista to effectively eliminate an entire wave in one shot. Setup two barricades in a vertical fashion and angle a ballista accordingly to hit the general area. You lose merit for every 25% the tower loses. Scouts will be forced out of the tower as it loses health, which can affect your merit gain or even reduce it if they fall.

Quest Text

Background The centre watchtower is besieged by enemies crossing the trench to scale the dike. The scouts above the watchtower are in grave danger. Should the tower become razed, a great asset in defending the dike will be lost. Objective Defeat waves of Dunlendings (0/6) Do not let the watchtower be destroyed The watchtowers upon Helm's Dike grant a favourable position for the Rohirrim. Scouts will mark the numbers of the coming force and fire their arrows upon them as they approach. The enemy will make every effort to take away the advantage the towers provide, you must protect the towers and the archers who fight to defend them. Merit Rating This quest starts with Partial Merit Rating.
