Bestowal Dialogue

She wipes her eyes.

'There is a sloping path that leads to a gate in the south-west reaches of Starkhaven. The gate is usually closed, but Engéru arranged that it would be left open for us on this day.

'Go ahead of me, to this south-western gate, and clear the way of enemies. If you will be my eyes, I will do the best I can to carry out my husband's wishes, though it pains me.'

Background

You have agreed to help Isamó and Engéru escape from Starkhaven before the Song sails to war.

Objective 1

The sloping path that leads out of Starkhaven is to the south. You should travel ahead of Isamó and ensure the way is clear for her to follow.

Isamó: Isamó has resolved to be courageous, but her eyes are still full of tears.
'Go ahead of me, to this south-western gate, and clear the way of enemies. If you will be my eyes, I will do the best I can to carry out my husband's wishes, though it pains me.'
The sloping path climbs north-west to a gate that is usually closed

Objective 2

A path out of Starkhaven climbs to the north-west. Isamó asked that you clear the way to that gate for her.

Isamó arrives at the gate, grateful for your help

Objective 3

Isamó has arrived at one of the paths that leads out of Starkhaven.

Isamó: Isamó stares at the open gate as if part of her wished it remained closed.
'My feet are heavy, stranger, but for Engéru I will let them carry me from Starkhaven. I thank you for showing me the way safely here, and I have only one thing more to ask of you.
'Think not ill of me or of my husband. Each of us were born into our families' work, and the construction of the fleet was all we ever knew. Of course ships are made for war! But when such a fleet sits idle for so many years, is it so strange to believe it might always remain unused? So it was for our families, and for Engéru, and for myself.
'Farewell, stranger. If you might somehow prevail against the Song, know that Engéru and Isamó celebrate with you.'
Isamó flees Starkhaven for an uncertain future
