Walkthrough & Notes

This side quest opens up a new area (for solo/duo) on the north side of the central wall. Waves of Goblin Saboteurs, Orc Ravagers, Uruk-hai Infiltrators, and Shakh-hai Overseers enter through the two windows in the northeast corner. Saboteurs will target Healing Stores or the door to the Hornburg; Ravagers will target Wounded Soldiers; Infiltrators will target the allied Soldiers helping to defend; and Overseers will target the Captain in the room. Place tripwire traps and barricades by the windows, then DPS Saboteurs and Ravagers before they can reach their targets. Allied Soldiers can easily dispatch the other two mob types, so players should focus on preventing damage to Healing Stores and Wounded Soldiers. The Healing order can be used on any Wounded Soldier to apply its effects to all Wounded Soldiers in the room. You can directly heal Supplies and Wounded Soldiers, but many classes have only one heal that works, make sure your UI choices help you see whether your heals are effective on your target. For example, Bolster Courage (Minstrel) works fine, but some other heals don't work.

Quest Text

Background The enemy plans to breach the Hornburg through a gatehouse being used as a makeshift infirmary for the wounded. The wounded men and the supplies of bandages and medicines are in danger, but the door to the Hornburg must be protected at all costs. The wounded will cry out when they begin to succumb to injuries, but you may instruct them in healing. Objective Defeat the waves of attackers attacking the gatehouse (0/6) Do not allow the door to the Hornburg to be destroyed A gatehouse between the Wall and the Hornburg has been converted into a makeshift ward used to treat wounded soldiers. The final doorway leading to the Hornburg has been sealed, but the enemy seeks to breech [sic] the opening while slaughtering the wounded in the gatehouse along the way. This rearmost door must be defended at all costs. Merit Rating This quest starts with Full Merit Rating.
