She is the mayor of Trestlebridge following the death of her father, Lovelle Boskins, at the hands of orc invaders.

Her house is heavily guarded both in and out because of her importance and wisdom; Captain Trotter personally guards her front door. Nellie is heavily concerned with the safety of Trestlebridge, but in due time she will find herself the time to advise the Council of Esteldín at the Esteldín Library, hence she is sometimes found at that location as well.
