Lore

Lagduf appears in the The Lord of the Rings, Book Six, Chapter I, The Tower of Cirith Ungol. He and Lagduf were subordinates of Shagrat, the Captain of the Garrison in Cirith Ungol. During the final days of the War of the Ring when Shagrat and Gorbag captured Frodo Baggins, the orcs serving under both captains broke out into a riot over the hobbit's mithril shirt. Both Muzgash and Lagduf attempted to flee the tower, but were shot down with arrows by Gorbag's orcs.
