Description
Shagrat is a Uruk overseer in Barad-dûr, T.A. 3017 during the Stout-axe intro. Later, during the War of the Ring, he serves as the Captain of the Garrison at the Tower of Cirith Ungol, in Lhingris.

Lore
Shagrat appears in the The Lord of the Rings, in Book 4, Chapter X, The Choices of Master Samwise, and Book Six, Chapter I, The Tower of Cirith Ungol. He and Gorbag led their bands into Torech Ungol and found Frodo Baggins, taking him back to the Tower of Cirith Ungol to be tortured. A large scuffle between both groups of orcs and uruks ensued, all over possession of Frodo's Mithril vest. In the end, Shagrat slew Gorbag, took possession of Frodo's vest, cloak, and Sam's barrow-blade, and took them to Lugbúrz.
