Description
Meneldil was born in Second Age 3318 in Númenor as the youngest son of Anárion, grandson of Elendil. He had three older siblings with unknown names and destinies. His uncle was the renowned Isildur.
Being just a small boy when Elendil escaped the Downfall of Númenor he rather grew up in Minas Anor in Gondor. Though he was grown up when Sauron assaulted Gondor in II 3429, nothing is said about his role in the defence of Osgiliath.
Help arrived, Elendil, Isildur, and a great host of what is known as the "Last Alliance of Elves and Men" had marched south and was now prepared to defeat Sauron. They set out together with Anárion's army for what is known as the "Battle of Dagorad" and finally the "Siege of Barad-dûr" where Elendil and Anárion were slain, but the hosts indeed defeated Sauron and also captured the One Ring.
From the war returned Isildur and his elder sons, and soon Isildur was proclaimed King over both South and North, the second King of Gondor and of Arnor. He remained for some time to restore order, but when he eventually set out for seeing the North kingdom he "committed to (Melendil) the realm of the south". It is said that...
- ...he was in fact well-pleased by the departure of Isildur and his sons, and hoped that affairs in the North would keep them long occupied. — Unfinished Tales, by Tolkien
Sadly, Isildur and all of his sons, save young Valandil, were slain at the Battle of the Gladden Fields. Thus Meneldil was upgraded to the third King of Gondor in Third Age 2. He ruled as High King for 156 years and died 281 years old.

Description
The reanimated corpse of Meneldil can be found in the World Instance The Silent Street on Tier 2, beneath the tombs of the Kings and Stewards of Gondor. He is awakened during the final boss fight with the Gloom of Nurn, when the boss reaches 40% of its morale.
Abilities
- Bound to the Gloom - applied to self
- Mad Frenzy - applied to self
Strategy
Meneldil cannot be tanked and takes no damage. He deals medium tier damage, but if the healer keeps an eye open for whomever he attacks (he will usually focus on the healer), Meneldil can basically be ignored until the Gloom of Nurn is defeated, at which point he dies automatically. Note: he sometimes also attacks pets.
