Grárik

The Grárik (Northern for Grey Kingdom) was the kingdom of the dwarves of the Grey Mountains in the time before the coming of Vethúg Wintermind. All the great structures of the Ered Mithrin and Elderslade were constructed during the reign of the Grárik - with great towering forts, bridges and cities looming across the vales. Thikil-gundu, Skarháld, the Stormwall, Óinsbridge, and Annâk-khurfu are examples of Grárik constructions. When the great cold-drake devoured king Dáin I and slew his son, Frór, it was the end for the Grárik, and its surviving Longbeards fled south to Khazad-dûm. All that remains now of the capital city is the Grey Wrack, a forlorn set of jagged ruins in the snow.
