Gambles are unique to blue-line Burglars. When picking the Gambler specialization, a Burglar has access to three gamble effects with 6 tiers:

When a skill is used that applies a Gamble, an imaginary 6-sided die is rolled. Depending on the rolled value, the potency of the applied Gamble changes, with lower values granting weaker benefits and higher values granting stronger ones. Only one of each Gamble can be applied at once, and when a new Gamble is applied, it overwrites the roll of the previous one.

Gamble-applying Skills

Gambles are applied by the following skills:

Gamble Upgrade Chance

Several class interactions grant the Burglar a stat called 'Gamble Upgrade Chance'. This stat increases the chance of the Burglar proccing a gamble upgrade when a new gamble is applied. When procced, the new gamble immediately has its rolled tier increased by 1.

The following interactions grant the Burglar this stat:

Loaded Dice

The trait  Loaded Dice makes Gamble-applying skills roll a loaded 6 when landing as a critical hit. A loaded 6 is when the Gamble has the potency of a 6-roll for the first 6 seconds of the effect duration, before reverting to the original overwritten rolled value.

Cash Out

Cash Out consumes all Gambles on the Burglar and their current target to gain bonus effects, depending on the removed Gambles. Multiple effects can be granted at once:

Payout damage and healing is increased according to the roll tier of the consumed Gambles.

Trait Interactions

The following traits and traceries increase the duration of Gambles:

  • The trait  High Roller increases the duration of Gambles depending on the rolled tier (T4 = +2s, T5 = +4s, T6 = +6s)
  • The tracery Gamble Pulses increases the duration of Gambles by up to 8 seconds.
