Forthwini was the 2nd Chieftain of the Ai-thúda, the son of Marhwini. He ruled while his people lived at Avabárg in the Vales of Anduin. In his old ag, Forthwini was slain by orcs of the Misty Mountains along with his adult son Forthári, thus passing the chiefaincy directly to his 12-year old grandson, Frumgar.
