One of the nine Nazgûl appears atop the hill of Dol Baran in the Gap of Rohan. Though he takes no part in the battle between the Rohirrim and Dunlendings, he arrives afterwards to take the bodies of the dead- of the Dunlendings alone, not the victorious Rohirrim- for some unspecified purpose.
