Din of Stone

The Din of Stone (Urash-zâl in Shagâni) was a spell of some dark power, given to the Ordâkhai by Sauron. The Emperor of Ordâkh, Shurash Hûl, had his sorcerers aided by agents of Mordor use it in An Shêru in the year 2890 of the Third Age. This caused the Great Dearth which drained the river Usâl and desertified both the Heights of the Sky and Khûd Zagin below, its effects reaching as far as the fertile plains of Sûgedin, which became the dessicated land of Lâkhedin.The Din of Stone also unleashed the Pale Blight in Adagím, causing the Lâg Dávrit to seep into the land. This was done with the release of Sívigush, the Earth-terror, which had dwelt beneath Nisigím for untold ages of the world. The Ordâkhai used the Din of Stone to destroy the lands held by their enemies, the Kintai and the Shagâni, but what became of the Din of Stone afterwards is not currently known.
