Cedrach Amon lives in a cottage deep in the Southern Old Forest, along the Brandywine River. Her estranged sister, Henbran, lives elsewhere in the wood. They are descended from Darogandes Amon; their family has kept historical records for centuries, including the story of Luilloth of Cardolan. They are also familiar with Goldberry.

Cedrach lives with her daughter Derwen and granddaughter Elin.
