Description
King Brand was the King of Dale during the War of the Ring, and is found in a few of the Road to Erebor instances. Brand is the son of Bain and grandson of Bard the Bowman. He was succeeded by his son Bard II after his death in the Battle of Dale. He was well-regarded by both his people and the Dwarves of Erebor, as well as a friend to Dáin Ironfoot, King Under the Mountain, until his death.
He appears in the beginning of the Bells of Dale instance just inside the city. Brand also features at the beginning of the Flight to the Lonely Mountain raid, where he and Dáin Ironfoot brief the player of the situation around the evacuation from Dale to Erebor. After you both enter the battlefield, he is slain by archers before the first wave of enemies arrives.
