Bóra was the 16^th Chieftain of the Éothéod. He succeeded his Grandfather, Lóthar, since his own father Gundric had been killed years earlier while trying to tame a mearh. During Bóra's rule, Thorin I of the Longbeards was slain in Ered Mithrin in T.A. 2289, leading to the Fifth War of Dwarves and Orcs. The Éothéod were pulled into the fighting which lasted through Bóra's rule, and through that of his son, Maera, but ended in the reign of Théodric, Meara's son.
