The Ambarûli are the people of Ambarûl. Although they are considered part of Shagâna and are descended from the same people as the rest of the Valley of Ikorbân, they have always been different from the rest of the Shagâni, with much closer ties to the nation of Umbar, and much more fertile lands to grow crops in. After the Great Dearth drained the Usâl river, the Ambarûli attempted to halt the forces of Ordâkh from marching into their lands by destroying the Span of Zibâla. However, this only slowed the Ordâkhai, it did not stop them. The invading army took control of the Ambarûli lands, and established their Church of the All-seeing to suppress any notion of rebellion. The Ambarûli were oppressed by the Ordâkhai for 100 years, but after the death of Sauron, the Dumûri, a new faction of Ambarûli women left in the wake of the war against Gondor, rose up and liberated the Ambarûli lands north of the Ikorbân river.
