This skill applies a Fire DoT that can be tiered up: Writ of Fire, and the Tactical Mitigation debuff Weakening Writ.
Trait Information
The set bonus Writ of Blazing Fire in the Cleansing Flame trait tree changes the DoT to a version that tiers down.
The set bonus Master of Connotation in the Cleansing Flame trait tree applies an effect with each fire skill, which at five stacks removes the induction of this skill and adds a heal.
The set bonus Extreme Heat in the Cleansing Flame trait tree increases the damage of the Searing Words DoT by 10% for each stack of Writ of Fire on the target.
The set bonus Seething Truth in the Cleansing Flame trait tree makes the skill 
Combustion spread the current tier of Writ of Fire to all nearby targets.
Tactical Information
The different tiers of Searing Words used to stack for a single RK. This resulted in a skill pattern where you used Writ of Fire each time you see a new SW DoT appear, to try and get all three tiers in the first 20 seconds of the fight. However, this mechanic was removed (it still stacks for other RK's though, see Update 25). Nowadays, you want to keep tier 3 Writ of Fire up at all times to get the stronger SW DoT.
