Walkthrough & Notes

Although the cave is long it doesn't have ramifications. There are about 15 Dheghûn in total, some of which are Signature Elder Dheghûn . They tend to come in pairs or triplets - two Dheghûn, which pull together, and one Elder Dheghûn who does not pull with them. Destroy the Mysterious Growth at the end of the cave by clicking on it. You cannot attack it from range. At the end of the instance the player is ported to the town Drû Bhûta. NOTE: If you are defeated it is possible to return to the instance before the reset timer expires, despite the fact that the Rally Point is quite a distance away. NOTE: The mine is quite dark (even darker than Moria), so use of your Lantern - F10 is advised.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue Lost Shadows "Tracking down the Dheghûn has led you to an old mining chasm in Nardol Quarry. You should search the caverns for the source of these mysterious beasts." Background Rhûd-pulo-Drât is in need of a warrior to brave the depths of Nardol's ancient mine and destroy the source of the Dheghûn beneath the mountain. Objective 1 Find the source of the Dheghûn Defeat Dheghûn (0/10) Defeat the Dheghûn and find out where they are coming from within the Nardol mines. Defeated Dheghûn (10/10) At the end of the cavern, a large organic bulb pulses Objective 2 Destroy the source of the Dheghûn You have found a mysterious growth deep within the cave. You should destroy it. Your tampering has only released an unknown horror upon Gondor! Objective 3 Defeat Gúthrak the Ravenous A new horror has been released. You must defeat it before it can escape! Gúthrakh the Ravenous says, "Draw my attention and you will suffer!" The shadowy beast's power fades as it sinks back to whence it came! Rhûd-pulo-Drât says, "The beast defeated!" Rhûd-pulo-Drât says, "Run quick, the ground shake!" Objective 4 Speak with Rhûd-pulo-Drât You should speak with Rhûd-pulo-Drât. Rhûd-pulo-Drât: 'I saw with my eyes, all you have done. You are very very good, <race>. Let us return to Drû Bhûta and speak to Ghân-buri-Ghân of the good story we share.'
