Lore
Azog ruled the Orcs of Moria late in the Third Age. His sons were Urro One-hand, Komog (slain in Gundabad before the Battle of Azanulbizar), and Bolg.
When Thrór came to the East-gate of Moria in 2790 of the Third Age, he was killed and decapitated, Azog's name carved into his head as a message to the dwarves. Thráin, son of Thrór, gathered a Reckoning-host and the Sixth War of Dwarves and Orcs was fought in vengeance for Thrór. Azog was slain in the Battle of Azanulbizar in 2799 by Dáin Ironfoot.
