Westfarthing of the Shire

The Westfarthing is the western and most populated part of the Shire. It consists roughly of the left half of the in-game Shire map, separated from the Eastfarthing along The Water source running through Bindbole Wood. It borders Southfarthing along the South Fields and Tookland, the Far Downs to the west, Northfarthing along Rushock Bog and Bindbole Wood, and Eastfarthing along Tookland, Hobbiton-Bywater, and Bindbole Wood.

The Westfarthing thus contains the following areas (with landmarks):

• Rushock Bog (Needlehole, Pinglade, Troll's Knoll)
• The Delving Fields (Michel Delving, Little Delving, Waymeet, Wolf Den, Dora Brownlock's Farm)
• South Fields
• Tookland (Tuckborough, The Great Willow, Bear Dens, Methel-stage)
• Hobbiton-Bywater (Hobbiton, Bywater Bridge, Bywater)
• The Hill (The Party Tree)
• Bindbole Wood (Overhill, Lob's Grove, Bolestones)
