Galenor of Rohan is Hunter from the race of men. He was born in the Westfold of Rohan before being moved to Edoras after the brutal murder of his parents. He now resides just outside of Bree and owns several horses.
Description
Physical Description: Galenor is typical of men of the Mark, not overly built but very strong nonetheless. He is light enough for his horse to bear him at great speed, yet has explosive strength and power when called on to fight. He has well-kept auburn hair and bright blue eyes.
Personality Description: A just man, Galenor is easily angered by the forces of shadow. A shrewd business man, he is rather wealthy considering his standing and youth. He enjoys a drink and can often be found gazing into the fireplace in the Prancing Pony. He likes music and humour, has a house full of books and enjoys reading, particularly Middle-earth lore. A gifted musician, Galenor plays clarinet, bagpipes, cowbell and the lute, of which he is particularly fond. He is a member of the Woodworker's Guild, the Bree-town Hunting Lodge and the Inn League. Galenor also enjoys fishing at the local river and at lakes around Bree-land.
Biography
Galenor is originally from the Westfold in Rohan. His small village was raided by Orcs when he was a baby and his mother hid him from harm. Galenor was the only survivor from the raid which took place after midnight. After having fought back the Orcs, the Rohirrim on patrol in the Westfold came upon the smouldering ruins of the tiny village where they heard the cries of the infant.
One of the riders took the child and sped back to Edoras, a full day and night of hard riding. There, the baby was handed to a wet-nurse. His name is taken from the Elvish for "green" (galen) as he was found bundled in a green blanket, which is presumed was made by his mother.
Galenor was raised in Edoras and fell in love with horses. He joined the Rohirrim as soon as he was old enough and spent many years on patrol, developing a genuine hatred of Orcs, whom he gladly cleaves with his sword. A skilled archer, Galenor has also taken to hunting. Galenor is a prospector, weaponsmith and woodworker and never uses a weapon that was not made by his own hand, unless it is of such quality that his own mastery cannot compete.
