Thrastar can be found during an encounter in the skirmish The Siege of Gondamon in Ered Luin after the Arfinn encounter when applying the South Gate Flag to the pole. The following encounter text will pop up if he is there:
- Encounter: A battle-horn sounds from the south
- Encounter Update: The southern flag of Gondamon is wrapped around Arfinn. It should be hung to fly at the south gate once more
- Your West Gate Flag fits the lock.
- Encounter Update: The horn of Thrastar sounds from the south camp. The leader of the southern assault is coming to reclaim the planted flag of Gondamon
- Encounter Complete: Thrastar falls to your mighty blow
