The Beast in the Pit is found in the Prison-caves of Tûr Morva, in Dunland.
It only appears during the instance [85] Interlude: Pit of the Falcon.
It appears to be a giant cave-claw that matches the description of the beast Pebblewart, which you read about in Vol. III, Book 3, Chapter 8: Further Secrets.
