Taniquetil, the Holy Mountain of Valinor, and Arda's highest peak, was the tallest and greatest of the Pelóri Mountains in the Blessed Realm. It was home to Ilmarin, the mansions of the Valar Manwë and Varda, greatest amongst the Ainur. From there, it was said that Manwë could gaze across all of Arda from his seat atop the peak. [1]
