blocking for blue beorning

should there maybe be some asterix for the blocking sentence? Since blue beorning gains the ability to block while he does not have the ability to use a shield?

In regards to that, is it correct what's displayed on the character stat derivations site, that no primary character stat increases the block rating for beorning, or does it change depending on his skill build, as in, when in blue, his block rating may increase with one of the primary stats? This article is very old and needs a rewrite. Character stat derivations are linked to class only, so they don't change with trait trees. Also, the Character stat derivations table should be correct, because it passed the automatic verification with game data test. I can see that no contribution is going to Block Rating.
