Túrin I (Sindarin for Victory-heart), son of Húrin I, served as the 6th ruling Steward of Gondor, his rule lasting from 2244 until his death in 2278.
Túrin's time as Steward took place during the Watchful Peace (TA 2063 – TA2460). He held the office for thirty-four years. In a departure from the usual customs of Gondor's nobility, Túrin married twice and fathered several daughters. His final child, born late in his life, was his only son, Steward Hador, who succeeded him.
He was likely named after Túrin Turambar, a tragic hero of the Edain of the First Age.
